Effective ways to Lose Belly Fat

Cortisol
High stress levels causes production of hormone called ‘cortisol’ in our body. This hormone has tendency to raise body weight, so get started with relaxation exercises immediately.
Sufficient Sleep
Getting sufficient sleep is also mandatory. When we feel tired, our tendency to eating increases leading to overeating and thus developing belly fat. Getting adequate sleep would help avoid overeating and may help to lose belly fat. Good sleep would also ensure staying more active during daytime giving you chance to burn more fat and lose belly weight by being more energetic.
Water
Belly fat is made of fat cells storing built up toxins. In order to get rid of the fat and toxins in your cells, drink BEV (Bio-Electronic Vincent) water or filtered water that uses reverse-osmosis filtration. This water attracts the heavy toxins from fat and pulls it out the body. The less minerals and metals in the water – the more the water can remove the dense stuff from your belly!
Belly Massage
Built up toxins and waste can be moved by gentle massage. Using a clockwise circle on the belly, starting under the right hand side of the chest, massage with your fingers and palm, to cover the entire belly area. Use the tips of the fingers to dig into belly and move stagnant energy. Use the palm of the hand to hold and nurture parts of your belly that want nurturing and encouragement. Kindly tell your belly with your touch that its time to move the fat and toxins out!
Balanced Diet
Eating balanced diet and avoid foods with high sugar/ caffeine level. Foods rich in nutrients/ fiber must be increased in our diets like fresh vegetables/ fruits/ oatmeal/ whole grain etc. Healthy foods maintain insulin levels and control blood sugar levels. Hunger is also controlled which means you can lose belly fat quite quickly.
Alcohol
Alcohol must be avoided as it contains lots of calories (7 calories/ gram). Alcohol also impacts body sugar levels, and would greatly help your effort to reduce/ lose belly fat.
Exercise
Exercise daily preferably in early morning: you may start with Jogging or brisk walking for approximately 30 minutes – 1 hour before breakfast. Exercise done early morning keeps us active for complete day and is certainly one of most wonderful way to lose belly fat.
Breakfast
If you don’t eat after many hours of sleeping your body goes into ‘starvation mode’. This is bad news for shedding belly fat as it slows your metabolism down in an effort to save energy and burn less calories. In fact a lot of dietitians advice that the best breakfast is a heavy one.

How to Lose Weight by Simple Habits

  1. Weigh yourself at most once a week.
You do NOT want to live and die by the scale.  Personally, I weigh myself every day now, just because it’s a habit more than anything.  But, I’ve been losing weight for over a year now and won’t be discouraged if I gain 2-3 pounds overnight (which is possible with eating a big meal the night before, storing a lot of fluids, etc.).  If you’re just starting out on your weight loss journey, you need to step off the scale and just concentrate on losing weight.
  1. Have healthy friends.
I’m not saying to ditch all your friends that are overweight, but what I am saying is make new friends with people that are healthy — this should come naturally if you’re at the gym or performing some sort of group physical activity.  Hanging around people that have the same habits that you’re trying to achieve is a good way to pick them up.
Read: Effective ways to Lose Belly Fat
  1. Buy smaller clothes.
You obviously need to buy clothes that are smaller as you lose weight, but you should also buy clothes that are smaller than you need when you buy them.  The next time you buy some new clothes, buy them a size too small (works especially well with pants).  You want to be able to fit into them, but they should be tight — force yourself to lose another 5 or 10 pounds to fit into them how’d prefer.  It’s cruel, but it really works.
  1. Set realistic goals.
You won’t lose 150 pounds in a year.  You might.  I know people that have with ease.  I know people that have tried for years.  More than likely, you won’t and you shouldn’t let that stop you.  You’ll lose weight at your own pace; ignore the pace of those around you.
  1. Buy a digital scale.
I know times might be tough, but digital scales are usually more accurate and they can more closely monitor your weight than an old analog scale.  Get with the times, grandpa.
  1. Find an accountability partner.
You don’t have to find thousands like I did (creating the blog), you just need to find one.  You need to find someone you can call and encourage you when you’re feeling discouraged and someone to update your weight loss progress with to keep you motivated and accountable.  If you start sliding back into your old unhealthy ways, this person should help stop you.
  1. Take before and after pictures
Sometimes the scale is misleading and even if it does show a large loss it still may be hard to notice any difference in the mirror as change occurs so gradually over time.  Take a before shot, even if you don’t publish it anywhere.  You can refer back to it as you progress on your journey for any changes.

How to Burn Calories

  1. Free yourself for  exercise.  Manage to find time after work,  Bring a change of clothes and throw a baseball in the parking lot with a colleague, go for a walk/run, or maybe drive to a nearby gym or park for some quick cardio.
  2. Make a group . Group classes (like Total Body Training) are extremely fun and you’ll make friends — workout buddies, as we call them on the street.  You’ll keep each other accountable and ensure each other keeps showing up.
  3. Lift weights. It’s one thing to do cardio all the live long day and become skin and bones, but muscles really define you and can make you proud of the way you look.  While I’ve been happy with losing the weight and getting skinnier in the mirror, it simply looked like I was deflating so to speak.  It wasn’t until a few months ago when I started lifting weights that I really started becoming pleased with the way my body was transforming.
  4. Join training sessions. Trainers are expensive, but only a couple of sessions can give you the motivation and more importantly the knowledge to lose weight and proper exercise techniques.
  5. Play a sport. I joined softball and I’m absolutely in love with it, it’s a fun way to burn calories.  No matter how gun ho you are about losing weight, getting on a treadmill every day of your life will get boring eventually.
  6. Take time to make a good workout Fast, upbeat music can really spice up a workout and give you longer, more intense workouts.  It’s been proven that music increases workout effectiveness  made that up.
  7. Find a workout buddy. Your workout buddy is an accountability partner in some ways, but often times a workout buddy is simply that — someone to workout with and socialize to while you’re on the treadmill for an hour.
  8. Become an expert at one exercise. While you’ll definitely want to vary as you continue your weight loss journey, find one exercise you want to become an expert at and dominate it.  Whether it’s running, bike riding, the elliptical, playing a sport, find an exercise you like and make it challenge you.  There are almost unlimited levels of difficulty and intensity, so you can find something to keep you occupied for literally years.
  9. Dance, sing, and make love. All of these burn calories and are really fun.  Learn to live and love life by doing activities that burn calories — turn off the television and get moving.

    Easy Exercises for Flat Tummy

    •
    •    Naukasana- A common yoga posture that works wonders on your abs.
Method: Lie flat on the ground, with your back on the floor. Raise your upper body and legs to an angle of 30 degrees and hold the posture for 30-40 seconds, then relax. Repeat this asana for 10 times to begin with, graduating to 30 times. Breathe normally all through the work out.
"Holding onto the posture tightens and contracts your upper and lower abs while repeating the movement tones them up," tells yoga expert Usha Chegappa of Bharat Thankur's Artistic Yoga.

    •   Ushtrasana : It is the counter pose to naukasana .
Method: Stand on your knees, with heels facing upwards. Arch your back, placing your hands on your knees one by one. Hold your head behind pushing your belly outwards. Hold this posture for 30 seconds and repeat 30 times.
"During naukasana , the ab muscles contract building up tension in the area, while ushtrasana releases the tension by giving your tummy a good stretch. It is important to practice ushtrasana after naukasana to save one's back from injury," explains Usha.

    •   Basic crunch: The good old crunch still remains the best exercise to bag the perfect abs.
Method: Lie on the floor with your legs off the floor in a right angle. Keep your shoulders just above the floor. Breathe in and bring your knees in towards your chest, while lifting your upper body to an angle of 30 degrees and breathe out while you relax. Repeat this exercise 15-20 times to begin with.
"Don't arch your back. The crunches will help you contract your abdomninal muscles giving them an effective workout," suggests Deanne.

    •    Bridging: Stretch till you feel the burn!
Method: Lie flat on the floor with your hands resting by your sides, feet flat on the floor, shoulder width apart and knees bent. Now, contract your abdominals, lower back and gluts and slowly lift your midsection to form a bridge from your knees, through your hips to your shoulders. Hold this position for a few seconds, and then slowly lower. Fitness expert Kiran Swahney suggests, "Avoid this exercise in case you are suffering from lower back problems."

    •    Lying Torso Twists: Twisting motion stretches the oblique muscles.
Method: Lie on the floor with knees pulled over your chest. Place a ball between your knees and stretch arms to the sides like an airplane, palms facing up. Contract your abs and twist your hips to the right, bringing knees towards the floor Don't touch the floor, but use your abs to bring your knees back to the start and go to the other side.
"Make sure your shoulders lie flat on the floor and keep breathing normally," advises Kiran.

    •    Cycling: Not on the cycle, but on the floor.
Method: Lie on the floor and raise your legs. Make slow pedaling motions with both your legs alternatively. Keep breathing normally. Touch your left elbow to your right knee, then your right elbow to your left knee.
"The slower and controlled are the motions, more is the pressure exerted on your abs giving better results," explains Deanne.

    • Side plank: targeted to your oblique muscles or side abs.
Method: Lie down on your side with elbows supporting your body above the ground. Now lift your body sideways. This will make you feel the stretch on your oblique muscles giving them a good workout. 2-3 sets of 15-20 movements are ideal.
"Make sure your body is in one line without any bends and arches. If indulging in a strenuous workout is on your mind, hold in the position and pulsate," adds Deanne.

    Lose Your Weight Naturally

Follow the basic rules to lose your weight naturally

    - Eating 4 meals a day
    - Switching off between protein and carb intake
    - Making your meals at home
    - Drinking lots of water
    - Walking for exercise
    - Limiting sweets
    - Eating until you feel satisfied (not full)

Following Four Techniques will help you in fast weight loss efforts

Cut down on the pasta. Pasta is often recommended as a healthy food, and it certainly is far healthier than many alternatives, but it is still high in calories. Endurance athletes eat a lot of pasta, which should tell you something about its properties as a storer of calories. Pasta is probably not something you want to cut out, so just cut the size of the portion down, and replace some of it with fruit and nuts.

Go to as sugar free a diet as possible. Sugar is extremely high in calories, apart from its other negative implications for health. Switching to alternative foods with no sugar will help you lose weight at a much faster rate. Even brown sugar, although better, is still fattening. Soft drinks can be the worst culprit of all, and replacing them with water will pay off handsomely.

Make more of your fluid intake water. So many people do not take in enough water to allow the body to function at an optimum efficiency, and many are permanently dehydrated. Your body uses water in the fulfillment of many essential tasks, and the brain also needs a regular supply for thinking processes. Drinking water is highly recommended, and it does help stimulate the burning of fat.

Use a pedometer to track the amount of walking you do. Find out how many steps you make in a normal day, and then try to increase it. Try walking where you didn't walk before, on shopping trips, or just to the park on a sunny day. Walking is a great exercise, because it is not especially strenuous or dangerous, and gives aerobic stimulation to the cardiovascular system. Anyone with no serious joint inflammation, or arthritis, or other leg trouble should be able to benefit.

    Flat Belly Secrets

     Avoid Constipation.

Too little fiber, fluids, and physical activity can lead to constipation, which can result in bloating, Jensen says.
To avoid this, eat a diet high in fiber (25 daily grams for women and 38 for men) from whole grains, fruits, vegetables, legumes, nuts, and seeds. Also, drink plenty of fluids (aim for 6-8 glasses a day) and aim for physical activity for at least 30 minutes, five times a week.
If you're eating a low-fiber diet, gradually bump up the fiber level, making sure you also drink plenty of fluids for better tolerance.

     Don't Eat Too Fast.

Eating quickly and not chewing your food well can cause air swallowing that leads to bloating, says Dawn Jackson Blatner, RD, author of The Flexitarian Diet.
So slow down and enjoy your food. Your meals should last at least 30 minutes. Also, keep in mind that digestion begins in the mouth, and you can decrease bloating just by chewing your food more, Blatner says.
There's another benefit to slowing things down: When you take your time to thoroughly chew and taste your food, your snack or meal becomes more satisfying. And studies have shown that if you eat more slowly, you may end up eating less.

     Don't Overdo Carbonated Drinks.

The fizz in carbonated drinks (even diet ones) can cause gas to get trapped in your belly, Blatner says.
Instead, drink water flavored with lemon, lime, or cucumber. Or just reduce the number of fizzy drinks you consume each day. Try some peppermint tea for a soothing beverage that may help reduce bloat.

     Don't Overdo Chewing Gum.

Chewing gum can also lead to swallowing air, which can cause bloating.
If you've got a gum habit, alternate chewing gum with sucking on a piece of hard candy or eating a healthy, high-fiber snack like fruit, vegetables, or lower-fat popcorn.

     Watch Out for Sugar-Free Foods.

"Many of my patients suffer from bloating because they consume too much sugar alcohol in artificially sweetened foods and drinks," which can lead to bloating, Blatner says.
Experts recommend consuming no more than 2-3 servings per day of artificially sweetened foods and drinks.

    Limit Sodium.

Highly processed foods tend to be high in sodium and low in fiber, both of which can contribute to that bloated feeling, Jensen says.
Get in the habit of reading food labels, Blatner advises. When buying processed, canned, or frozen foods, shoot for no more than 500 mg of sodium per serving in any product -- or a total of 1,500 to 2,300 mg of sodium per day. Look for labels that say "sodium free," " low sodium," or "very low sodium."

Go Slow with Beans and Gassy Vegetables.

If you're not used to eating beans, they can cause that gassy feeling. So can the cruciferous family of vegetables, such as broccoli, Brussels sprouts, and cauliflower.
That doesn't mean you should give up on these super-nutritious, high-fiber vegetables.
"Don’t be nervous about beans," Blatner says. "Just work them into your diet slowly until your body adjusts to the compounds that can initially cause gas."
Or, you can take an anti-gas product, which can help reduce gas from beans or vegetables.

     Eat Smaller Meals More Often

Instead of three big meals per day, try eating smaller meals more often. This can keep you free of the bloated feeling that often follows large meals (think Thanksgiving). Eating more frequently can also help control blood sugar and manage hunger.
So go for five to six small meals each day, but make sure the quantity of food and calories are proportionate to your needs. To create a daily meal plan that includes the recommended amounts of all major nutrients, visit the U.S. Department of Agriculture's

     Try Anti-Bloating Foods and Drinks.

A few studies suggest that peppermint tea, ginger, pineapple, parsley, and yogurts containing probiotics ("good" bacteria) may help reduce bloating.
"These are safe foods that are good for you when used appropriately, so why not try them and see if they help you de-bloat?" Blatner says.

TEN WAYS TO FEEL FULL NOT FAT

If you find that you are never feeling satisfied after a meal or just an hour or so later you areReaching for a snack to pick you up? Well, we're here to help with some feel-full strategies.
Granted there are foods that can boost your feelings of fullness but how, when and where
You eat your meals can also have a bearing on your full factor too.
Here are 10 ways to keep your dining habits in check to maximize
Your feelings of satiety and satisfaction.
    (1) Sometimes go it alone
People can eat more when they dine in company or with the television on
Because they become distracted as to what exactly is going into their mouth.
Make sure mealtimes are all about the food, focus on it entirely and you'll feel full sooner.
Avoid fast-paced music too, this can increase the speed you eat, resulting in a clean plate
Before your body is able to recognize it is full.
    (2) Smell and chew
When you eat make sure you give your meal a good sniff as concentrating on the smell of your food
As well as the taste also switches on satiety signals. Secondly, chew, chew, chew, and chew some more,
Some of the hormones needed to send the satiety signals to the brain are released by your chomping.
    (3) Go for bulky and moist
The rationale behind the bulky and moist rule is pretty straightforward, simply the more air and water in food
The quicker it will fill you up, calorie for calorie. So, in terms of food swaps have a vegetable soup rather than
A pasty, plain air-popped popcorn instead of crisps and grapes in place of raisins.
    (4) Wait after fat
If you do have a meal with a high-fat content then make sure you allow time for that feeling of fullness to come.
It can take longer for sense of satiety to come from a fatty meal compared to meal high in protein for example,
So allow time for the feeling of fullness from the fat to kick in.
    (5) Get enough sleep
When your body is deprived of sleep it produces more gremlin and less lepton.
    These are the hormones that are involved in the regulation of appetite;
Gremlin is produced largely in the stomach and accelerates your appetite,
While lepton decreases appetite as it's the hormone that signals satiety.
    (6) Get hydrated
mark, But It is often because we're actually thirsty. Drink a glass or two of water before a meal,
And when you do eat, the food will feel more filling.
    (7) Get a smaller plate
People tend to fill their plate however big it is, and most of us eat until it is empty.
And the aim of getting a 'clean plate' makes us more likely to override the satiety signals that stop us eating.
So, swap your normal plate for a slightly smaller one, and you'll find your 'full' switch will flip a little faster.
    (8) Choose fiddly foods
If you eat foods that take a little time and effort to eat, this will allow time for your body
To recognize the fullness feeling. Good examples of fiddly foods are corn on the cob,
A crunchy salad or fish with bones, these types of foods force you to eat more slowlyAnd help you to feel full quicker.
    (9) Eat an apple before each meal
Apples help to promote a feeling of fullness and research has shown that eating an apple 20 minutes prior to eating a meal reduced the amount of food that was consumed at that meal.
So, including an apple for your daily snack will not only contribute to one of your daily
Recommended fruit or veggie portions but the fibre will fill up your stomach too.
    (10) Be natural
Try to eat food that is as natural as possible as most manufactured foods tend to be very energy-dense
Which means they contain more calories bite-for-bite. However raw fruit and vegetables take a lot of chewing
And occupy a lot of room in your stomach so they fill you up much more per bite.

    Flat Stomach Secrets

    Secrets for a Flat Stomach!

Developing a lean, flat stomach takes time and patience, especially when it comes to those last few kilograms in those hard to lose places. There is only one way to lose fat in the so-called ’stubborn areas,’ and that is with the correct combination strength training (with a extra focus on mid-section), cardiovascular exercise (short, hard workouts), and stable blood sugar (keeps you from adding additional fat and makes it easier for the body to use body fat for fuel).

Spot Reduction is a Myth - The first thing you need to realize is that it is impossible to ’spot reduce’ fat from one specific part of the body. Fat loss occurs systemically, meaning that you can’t control where the fat comes from. When you burn fat for energy, you will draw it from all areas of the body, and the first place you tend to put it on will be the last place it comes off.

Cardio, cardio, cardio - Doing all the abs exercises in the world will do nothing if you have a layer of fat covering it. Doing strength training, or lifting weights, would help, but not as much as aerobic exercise. If you want to add some ab exercises in after the cardio, that’s great, but be sure to work your whole torso, not just the upper abs — that includes the lower abs, lower back and the muscles that wrap around your sides.

For example, Walking, jogging, bicycling, elliptical exercise and stair climbing are all great fat burners. Most give up early in the workout. During the first 10 minutes of aerobic activity, glycogen (stored carbohydrates) is the primary fuel source. Because you don’t burn significant amounts of fat until glycogen stores are depleted, the key to maximum fat loss is to work out aerobically for 30-60 minutes continuously per session.

Diet – Its best to stay away from fried food and too many sugary desserts. Abdominal fat loss is a 50% exercise, 50% nutrition combination. Regardless of how much you workout, if the number of calories you take in is greater than the amount you burn, you’ll still put on abdominal fat.

Eat Small Meals Regularly - You should try and spread your calories out into five small meals a day instead of 2 or 3 big ones so that you don’t overeat in one feeding.

Give it Time – If you want to have a flat stomach in 3 weeks, forget it. Losing fat takes time, and it’s unhealthy to lose too much weight too fast. Gradual weight loss is healthier, and more likely to be sustained over time. Go for a lifestyle change, something you can live with for the rest of your life, or you will just yo-yo. It’s a marathon, not a sprint.
