The next step is to ensure your diet is also helping your body to stop and prevent acne. Here are five foods you must be consuming for a skin free of acne and blemishes.

1.Green Tea- Green tea contains polyphenols that are excellent antioxidants. Antioxidants are one of the best ways to treat and prevent acne. It has also been found to reduce hormonal imbalance and can kill the bacteria that causes acne.
2.Cooking Oils- Using the right cooking oil will not only be good for your skin, but for the rest of your body. Use oils that have saturated fats in them very conservatively and use those that have unsaturated fats as your main source of oil for cooking.
You may want to also consider taking Omega - 3 fish oil supplements to give your skin a boost and your whole body a boost.
3.Oatmeal- Oatmeal is a good anti-inflammatory agent that is essential to fight acne. If you eat a lot of process foods, you are susceptible to your immune system over reacting to infections, called inflammation. Inflammation will cause your acne to look much worse than it really is and could cause scarring.
Both oatmeal and Omega-3 will reduce inflammation in your body allowing your immune system to attack only the damaged tissue.
You can also make a skin-scrub from oatmeal using 3/4 cup of dry oatmeal and 1/2 cup of honey, another good natural ingredient used to fight ache. Rub this on your face for a few minutes then rinse off. Your skin will look fresh and youthful afterwards.
4. Beans - All beans are great for your body. But black beans are better than most because they provide your body with more antioxidants than any other type of bean.
5. Eggs- Eggs are a great source of vitamin D, and also contain other vitamins and nutrients. Though the whole egg is great for your body, the yolk will help your skin immensely.
Not only should you eat eggs to help prevent acne, but you can also apply raw eggs to the face in the form of a mask. Just beat one egg with something to help hold it together such as baking soda (which will also kill the bacteria that causes acne) and apply to your face. Let set between 5 and 10 minutes and then wash off with warm water.
