Perform Facial Exercises to Help Slow Signs of Aging

There are many facial exercises that help slow signs of aging, but these exercises are often neglected. Unlike other muscles in our body, facial muscles are not attached to the bone. Instead, facial muscles are connected to the skin, allowing for a wide range of movements that determine our facial expressions. When you make a particular facial expression constantly, over an extended period of time, your facial muscles end up getting tensed, even when your face is relaxed. For example, if you frown often, your forehead ends up showing wrinkles much quicker than otherwise.
It is important to perform facial exercises to help slow signs of aging, because these exercises give your face an everlasting young look. Wrinkles make your face appear old. A wrinkle-free face appears calm and young. Facial exercises can be performed at any time during the day. You can also set aside a specific time for these facial exercises, such as right before bedtime.

Facial exercises for the mouth area.

Are you familiar with nasolabial folds? Nasolabial folds are the scientific word describing the deep creases that form on each side of your nose, and run down by your mouth. To help prevent, or reduce the extent of the nasolabial folds, you should perform a facial exercise that stretches the muscles surrounding your mouth. This exercise will help your mouth muscles stay supple, because it promotes better blood flow and oxygenation.
To do this exercise, lay your index and middle fingers on each side of your mouth, halfway from your nose. Then, pull your fingers upward very gently, towards your cheeks, and push them back down. Make sure you keep your lips straight and shut while you do this. Repeat the same motion, approximately 10 times daily.

Facial exercises for the forehead

In order to give a smooth look to your forehead, gently place both your middle and index fingers on each side of your temple, and then gently rub forward until they converge in the middle of your forehead. Then, do the same rubbing motion backward, until your fingers end up by your temples. Repeat this exercise 10 times. Then, stretch your eyes wide open and hold that position for two seconds. Repeat this 10 times also.

Conclusion

Don't settle on these two exercises. Be creative, and see what else works for you. The bottom line is to continue to perform facial exercises to help slow signs of aging.
Good Luck!
